I wanted to take a quick minute to let you know about an important addition to our small team here at MO.
Mike Gyulai (aka, @MikeG in Slack) has officially come aboard.
A lot of you already know Mike’s work — he’s been a member of the Collective for years. And has produced some of our best MOHO presentations (links here, here, and here) diving deep into two particular trading interests of his: systematic classical charting and the mental game of trading.
For those who haven’t crossed paths with him yet, here’s a quick intro:
Mike’s traded markets for over a decade, currently manages capital at a prop firm, and still moonlights advising traders, hedge funds, and family offices on the behavioral leaks that can torpedo even the best strategies.
Before markets became his full-time obsession, he spent nearly 20 years driving growth and innovation at both agile start-ups and larger organizations in Los Angeles before relocating near Lake Tahoe with his family.
Brandon and I are absolutely stoked to have Mike on board for one big reason: he’s the ultimate accelerator for the mission that drives everything we do at Macro Ops.
That mission—unchanged since Day 1—is simple:
- Build the best damn community of obsessed, like-minded traders and investors on earth
- Relentlessly study markets and theory, then share every useful thing we learn

Mike doesn’t just “align” with those bullets — he lives them. Having him here full-time, grinding on research, trades, tools, and theory, will make the entire operation sharper, faster, and a heck of a lot more effective.
